Professor Pillay

Professor Gerald Pillay is the Vice-Chancellor & Rector at Liverpool Hope University and is a citizen of New Zealand and the UK.  He is widely published and has a distinguished academic career.  He holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Doctor of Theology degree.  He has taught in South Africa, New Zealand, and the USA. In July 2021, Professor Pillay was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for ‘services to Education’. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters in 2013 by Hope College, Michigan, USA and is a Deputy Lieutenant for Merseyside. 

David Beasley

In October of 2020, the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded David Beasley, as Director of the  World Food Program, the  Nobel Peace Prize. 

Before coming to the UN in April 2017, Mr. Beasley spent a decade working with high-profile leaders and on-the-ground managers in more than 100 countries, directing projects designed to foster peace, reconciliation and economic progress. Mr. Beasley received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and was first elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives at the age of 21.  He earned his Doctor of Law degree from the University of South Carolina and has taught at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government. He is married to Mary Wood Payne and they have four children.

Paul Haidostian

Dr. Paul Ara Haidostian, President of Haigazian University in Beruit, Lebanon, holds a B.A. from Haigazian College in Psychology and Armenian Studies. He gained a M.Div at the Near East School of Theology (NEST) in Beirut, and a Th. M. and a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. His educational career began as a teacher at the Armenian Evangelical Central H.S., continued as a teaching assistant during his years of degree training and then as a lecturer at NEST.  He began teaching at Haigazian in 1996 and was selected as President in 2002.  Dr. Haidostian is the author of numerous published articles and published book reviews. He is a representative of the General Assembly of the Supreme Council of Evangelical Community in Syria and Lebanon since 1998. 

Semeon Mulatu

Dr. Semeon Mulatu served in Addis Ababa as president of ETC, Ethiopia Theological College.  His selection by the denomination as General Secretary of EKHC speaks volumes of the confidence, trust, and authentic leadership he brings to this top leadership role of the largest evangelical denomination in Ethiopia.  Dr. Semeon still has connections with the ETC college which is owned by the EKHC denomination as well as several other colleges established strategically throughout Ethiopia. The Ethiopia Kale-Hiywot Church (EKHC) was established about 150 years ago, with focus on church planting, discipleship, and leadership training, bearing testimony to the power of the Gospel and the saving grace of our wonderful Savior among approximately 84 tribes and as many languages, and more than 200 dialects.  The burden of the diverse cultural, religious, and political challenges facing EKHC was laid upon the shoulders of Dr. Semeon, a man of God and academician with a heart for the people and churches of Ethiopia.  

Jeff Moore

Jeffrey Moore serves as a full-time professor of management and disability intelligence researcher at Anderson University (South Carolina).  He was raised in France and received his PhD from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis' business school Institut d’Administration des Entreprises (IAE).   For the past five years, Dr. Moore serves as a member of the leadership team in the Academy of Management, Management Consulting Division and Director of the Consortium for Global Education Research Institute.  His research focus is on complexity leadership and hiring people with disabilities.  Leading the Anderson University research team, they work with Walgreens and Sephora to study their disability employment practices and impact on team members.  This research provides best practices for onboarding, developing, and promoting inclusive organizational initiatives that increase innovation, adaptability & employee engagement.

Laine Scales

T. Laine Scales, Professor of Social Work, Baylor University, Waco Texas, USA received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and her MSW from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Kentucky. After teaching at Palm Beach Atlantic University and Stephen F. Austin State University, she began her Baylor career in 1999 as a faculty member in the School of Social Work. From 2004- 2018 she served as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Professional Development in Baylor’s Graduate School and from 2008- 2018 she served the School of Education as Professor of Higher Education. Dr. Scales co-directs two programs in Oxford, England.  A five-week summer study abroad program and the Baptist Scholars International Roundtable. In 2016, Baylor honored Dr. Scales with its highest teaching award, Baylor Master Teacher. Dr. Scales has authored, co-authored, or co-edited ten books and over forty articles and chapters in the areas of faculty development, Christianity and social work. 

Nabil Costa

Nabil Costa joined the nonprofit sector in 1998 as the Executive Director for the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD). Nabil serves as the General Secretary for the Association of Evangelical Schools in Lebanon and in 2017 was appointed by MEHE as the private schools’ representative in the Ministry of Education’s Committee for Special Needs Education. In 2012, he co-authored a book on Successful Governance.  With a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics from the American University of Beirut, and a Masters of Arts in Education and Counseling from the Haigazian University in Beirut. In May 2011, he received an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Samford University (AL, USA). In October 2015, the Haigazian University recognized Nabil for his contributions to society through years of service in the humanitarian field. Nabil is married to Lena, a musician, who is also involved in Prison Ministry. They have two sons: Nicholas and Christopher.

PROF Fatokun

Professor Fatokun Johnson Oladele was born in Saki, Oyo State more than five decades ago. He holds a National Certificate in Education (Technical-Mathematics & Statistics Option) from University of Ibadan; a BSc. Degree in Mathematics at the University of Ilorin, Masters and Doctorate degrees from the prestigious University of Jos. He was employed as a Mathematics Lecturer at Nasarawa State University Keffi, North Central Nigeria, (2002-2012) and rose in rank to the position of Reader (Associate Professor) of Mathematics with specialisation in Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing in November 2009 and later by Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State (North West Nigeria) as a Full Professor of Mathematics( 2012- 2017) where he became the pioneer Vice-President, (Deputy Vice-Chancellor) He joined Anchor University, Lagos in February, 2017 as the pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences and Director of Academic Planning & Quality Assurance and currently, he is the pioneer Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Anchor University, Lagos.

Norris Ham

Norris Ham is the co-founder of Heart-Help-Home, along with his wife, Angela. After completing their undergraduate degree in 2005, they were married and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where Norris worked as a high school teacher.  From 2008 to 2013, Norris lived in Cairo, Egypt, working as a teacher and school administrator at the American International School in Egypt.  It was during this time that he responded to a leading to serve Egyptians and refugees alike.  While in Egypt, Norris completed a master’s degree in international negotiation and dispute resolution from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Norris completed his juris doctor’s degree in 2016 from the University of Notre Dame. Since January of 2017, Norris and his family have served in Cairo, Egypt.  While in Egypt, Norris co-founded an informal organization called Heart-Help-Home - a direct assistance program for refugees, served as a refugee lawyer, a high school principal at the American International School in Egypt and as a professor at the American University in Cairo.  Norris and family are in the U.S. establishing partnerships and support.  They plan to return to Egypt in December.

Phil Bassett

Dr. Phil Bassett began his service with International Schools Consortium (iSC) in Beijing, China in 2004.  In addition to organizing teacher training and conferences for iSC, Phil led Living Rock Chinese Teacher Training Center until authorities asked them to close in 2019.Before joining iSC Phil was an education professor in Ohio for 13 years, and before that taught in Christian and public schools for 11 years. Phil and his wife moved to Atlanta, Georgia in June 2020 to take on the Director of Mobilization position for International Schools Consortium.
