Oklahoma Baptist University
OKLAHOMA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY is a small Christian liberal arts university in Shawnee, 30 minutes east of Oklahoma City.
At OBU students learn how all knowledge connects and how that framework can be informed by a thoughtful Christian worldview. Students have the choice of 87 areas of study, the opportunity to work and study abroad and the chance to engage faculty mentors.
With incoming first-time freshman receiving an annual award of at least $10,000 per year and transfer students receiving an annual award of at least $8,000 per year, OBU makes a private, word-class, Christian university education affordable. OBU faculty, staff and students are extraordinarily friendly and supportive. This is a culture that works and plays very hard. They offer more than 60 student organizations and 20 intramural sports. Their varsity athletic program, which offers 21 sports, has won 33 National Championships in the NAIA and NCCAA. OBU joined NCAA Division II in 2017.
All of this occurs in a supportive, Christian community; one that's dedicated to the highest intellectual and ethical standards.
